DHL tracking not updating

Why it happens
DHL Express updates frequently on the international leg but can go quiet during customs clearance, which may take a few days.
DHL eCommerce (the economy service for online orders) scans less often than Express, so multi-day gaps are normal on cross-border parcels.
What to do
- Check whether it's DHL Express (fast, frequent scans) or DHL eCommerce (economy, fewer scans) — expectations differ.
- A status of "Clearance processing" means customs, not a problem; watch for a duty-payment request.
When to escalate
If a DHL parcel stalls well beyond its estimate, contact DHL for your country with the waybill number, or ask the sender to open a trace.
