How to track a package without a tracking number

Losing a tracking number doesn't mean losing your package. In most cases you can recover the number or check status another way. Here's how, step by step.

1. Check your order or shipping confirmation email

The fastest route is the confirmation email from the store or sender. Search your inbox for the retailer's name, or terms like "shipped", "tracking", "order confirmation" or the carrier name.

The tracking number is usually a link or a long string of letters and digits. Paste it into ParcelTrack and we detect the carrier automatically.

2. Log into the retailer's account

Most online stores show live order status under "My Orders" or "Order History". Open the order and look for a tracking link or number — even if the email is gone, the account usually still has it.

3. Use the carrier's account or delivery manager

If you have an account with UPS My Choice, FedEx Delivery Manager, USPS Informed Delivery or your local post, packages addressed to you often appear automatically — no number required.

4. Ask the sender

For a personal shipment, the sender holds the receipt with the tracking number and can forward it in seconds.

Paste any tracking number — ParcelTrack detects the carrier and shows the live status.

FAQ

Can I track a package with just my address?

Not on a public tracker, for privacy reasons. But carrier delivery managers (USPS Informed Delivery, UPS My Choice, FedEx Delivery Manager) show inbound packages tied to your address once you verify your identity.

Can I track a package with an order number?

Only through the retailer that issued it. The order number maps to a tracking number in your account — retrieve the tracking number there, then paste it into ParcelTrack.
